Vulumbrella 06:10
Traditional from Campania (South Italy) atte molla e no cchiù ddura Po ca sì formosa e bella Ca ogne fica vulumbrrella A sto tempo s’ ammatura. Fatte doce e no cchiù amare Nun te fa vedere acerba E non esser tanto brava Fatte umile e no superba.

Spartenza, amara mia, quantu piniari! Luntano sparti lu cori.

"Imaginary Ethnicity" the only possible definition for the musical journey of Sinenomine, enseble that has made of the research on popular music, on sound and on vocalism its own banner: meticcie and music
migrants who, through a musical rewriting and re-reading, guide the listener to suspended places and times, how to look for possible new sound geographies.
The SINENOMINE musical project was created thanks to the initiative of the guitarist and composer Alessandro Girotto and develops through the meeting with the singer and performer Pilar and the percussionist Fulvio Maras.
In "Spartenza", the geographical sources of inspiration converge in Southern Italy: from the nomadic verses of the Sicilian emigrants and carters set by Alessandro Girotto, Matteo Puglia's Puglia, the villanelle
of the ‘500 reworked in the Sinenomine's own way, but then extending the area of influences to many others forms and origins.
In the original compositions as in the thematic reworkings, all by Alessandro Girotto, the melody of the song and the harmonious deepening of the arrangements coexist, in balance between song
popular, improvisation and early music.
Of ethnic and traditional music, the project recovers some aspects and updates them of others. There instrumentation is mainly acoustic and the re-elaboration intervention tends to suggest, through the
harmonizations and counterpoints, always new and different points of view.
The solo parts recall the ways of jazz where the dialogue between instruments takes place in a climate of absolute interplay: the detail converges in the whole, returning to the listener the transverse echo of the multiple stylistic origins: popular and "cultured", written or improvised.
