The concept that moved the guitarist Alessandro Girotto leading his new quartet is a kind of emotional reminder to the origins.
The band consists of Alessandro Girotto on guitar, Vittorio Solimene – piano, el piano; Stefano Cesare - bass and Lucrezio de Seta on drums. These musicians gave a fundamental contribution to the proposed compositions, exactly catching the basic artistic idea, bringing to a fluid and flowing listening, even when writing proposes complex and restless journeys.
Fluidity and immediacy reach to emerge in the lyricism and in the intensity with which the pianist Vittorio Solimene winds the solos, in the original and creative drumming of Lucrezio de Seta and in the fitting and irresistible bass of Stefano Cesare, despite the desired asymmetries that characterize many compositions.
With his sound and his solo style, Alessandro Girotto ventures and comes back towards lands near rock music, prog and crossover music, where mentioned expressive references and emotional roots arise.
Echoes that refer to one’s own personal soundtrack, to that music forgotten over time, apparently removed, to which actually one remains ever joined and from which Girotto was inspired to write the compositions for this album. Odd times, unplanned modulations, sudden changes of atmosphere remind to that kind of spontaneous loss of consciousness typical of several musical productions of old and dear memories.
Anyway, no quotation from the past. The quartet remains immersed in the modernity, preserving a due curiosity towards new trends and new languages, giving birth to a complex, current, lyrical album.
This is how the project was born, and thanks to the sensitivity of these musicians, it overcame the traps of customs, entrusting both in instinct and in awareness.
